Awesome Nautical Bedding Sets

It’s no wonder that a nautical bedroom is a perennially popular theme. That may be in part due to the awesome nautical bedding ensembles for sale in many places these days. The colors are so appealing to everyone. It is not like pink and floral bedding which is no good for half the population.

There is an ease to creating the color scheme too, which you don’t find with other themes where you are often trapped into buying items from the same range. This means it is easier to put together something spectacular on a limited budget or to save money even if your budget is not so limited.

You could start, if you like, by looking for a nautical bed in a bag at a reasonable cost, which could form the starting point for your decor and then choose other items separately. This saves you a bit of time with the main items for the bedroom, without going overboard buying all the accessories in one place. You may prefer bedding embroidered with applique ships, shells or starfish but whatever you choose it will give you your base for choosing other items in keeping with your theme. This is the easiest way to source nautical theme bedding but if you prefer you could just buy a nautical comforter and then plain sheets and bed skirt in red, white or blue.

White painted furniture looks great with nautical bedding sets as this is the look which is often used in seaside homes. Even better if you like wood which looks a little worn where the white paint is a little distressed.

If you are looking for nautical themed bedding for younger children, you might choose a pirate theme or one with funky fish, while a more general seaside resort or maritime theme and sky blue or navy bedding might suit older children.

As for accessories, you could add oars to a wall, a ships brass clock or pictures of lighthouses, boats or the seaside. A fish net valance looks good at the windows and nautical pillows on any chairs in the room.
